This is a draft prepared by MSM Rentals and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It states what is true of this website today and marks, in plain sight, every fact still to be confirmed. It must be reviewed and completed before it is relied upon commercially.

What this page is

A complete list of what this website stores on your device and what it loads from anyone else. It is not written by hand: it is generated from the same register the website uses to decide what may run, so a technology cannot appear on the site without appearing here.

“Cookies” is used loosely here, as everyone uses it. Where the site actually uses browser storage rather than a cookie, the list says so.

Your choice, and how to change it

On your first visit you are asked once. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, nothing optional is pre-selected, and until you choose, nothing optional runs — no cookie, no storage, no script, no request to anyone else.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Your choice is stored on your own device and is never sent to us, which also means clearing your browser storage will make the site ask again.

We ask again only if we introduce something genuinely new. Rewriting this page, changing the design, or removing a technology will not re-ask you.

The four categories

  • Strictly necessary — needed for the site to work at all. Cannot be switched off, and never used for tracking.
  • Preferences — remembers convenience choices and loads optional features you have asked for.
  • Analytics — would count visits. Nothing of the kind is active on this website.
  • Marketing — advertising and audience tracking. We use none of it.

These four never change. A future technology joins one of them; the categories do not multiply, and an empty one says it is empty rather than quietly looking full.

Guest Companion language

Remembers the language a guest explicitly chose in their Companion, so their stay information stays in that language. Written only when a guest makes that choice.

Stripe payment form

Displays the card form and completes the payment when you choose to pay for a booking. Your card details are entered inside Stripe's own secure frame and never reach MSM. Stripe sets its own cookies to detect fraud. Nothing from Stripe loads until you have chosen to pay.

What is transmitted

Property photography

Delivers the photographs of the homes. The images are the page's content, so they are not optional — but nothing is stored on your device and no cookie is set.

Interactive map

Shows the homes on an interactive map, and remembers whether you asked results to follow the map as you move it. The list of homes beside the map is complete without it.

Counts page views so we can see which homes people look at, without cookies and without profiling anyone. It is prepared but NOT enabled on this website; if it is ever switched on, it will load only with your Analytics consent.

What we deliberately do not use

Stated because the absence is a choice, and because it is checkable:

  • No third-party fonts. The two typefaces are served from this website's own domain; your browser makes no request to a font provider.
  • No tag manager, and no advertising, conversion or social pixel.
  • No CAPTCHA, no session recording, no heatmaps, no A/B testing tool, and no chat widget on public pages. The assistant chat inside the Guest Companion, where a stay offers it, is described in the Privacy Policy.
  • No embedded third-party video or social content.
  • No cookie is set by our server on any public page of this website.

Changes to this policy

The list above changes with the website, in the same release. The date at the top of this page is when the surrounding text was last written.
